| If you happen to visit my site from time to time you'll know I love Philco radios and, I love Hippos...the radio kind that is! I recently sold a '48 Hippo model (48-460). Now, here's an even older Hippo! A magnificent 1946-420 - a swirled brown Bakelite beauty that plays as stunningly as it looks! Electronically restored, tuned and aligned. I added a new cord, too. All six tubes are strong. Plays great! It even has its original back - and that's rare to find! The tube layout on the bottom is in wonderful condition. Absolutely minimal wear! If you'd like additional pics please let me know. |
