This beautiful Bakelite Silvertone midget bullet with contrasting ivory knobs was made for Sears Roebuck by Detrola. It's one of the great Art Deco radio designs from the late 1930's. This all-original Bakelite bullet-shaped cabinet with white dial and knobs is in immaculate condition with no hairlines, cracks or chips. The built-in loop antenna has a perfect back cover. Ready to display and play, it looks great and plays great. The Silvertone 6179A is a five-tube, AM set. The radio has had all of the capacitors replaced, resistors and tubes checked and replaced where needed. New power cord, original knobs. This radio is one gorgeous, excellent example!
