This is a very scarce and beautiful radio: the Air Castle model 5000. This futuristic styled table radio is a deluxe super-het. This cabinet has beautiful Deco style lines. These radios rarely come up for sale. Air Castle radios were sold by Spiegel Inc. out of Chicago. It features a great looking dial that is stunning when lit. Add the ornate escutcheon along with the bright green, very responsive, tuning eye and you got a great looking radio! The cabinet has been nicely refinished. The chassis has been electronically restored. It plays and sounds great on AM and Shortwave bands. This hard to find radio is a real eye catcher and would be a great addition to any collection. An auxiliary input can be added to listen you phone or any aux device through the radio at no extra charge. 18"W x 10"H x 9"D.
