Arvin 664 "WJR Detroit Special Edition" (1947)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Arvin 664 "WJR Detroit Special Edition" (1947)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is the opportunity to own a very rare radio. It is an Arvin that was a Special Promotional model for WJR in Detroit. This radio was a "give away" item that was used for contest and publicity. Very few of these radios still exist. As can be seen by the photos, the radio bears the WJR call letters and also its famous slogan, "The Goodwill Station of Detroit." The radio is in excellent original condition with no cracks or chips. It also plays very well with plenty of volume. This is a very hard radio to find. Truly a piece of American history that reflects the sentiment of America after World War II.
