| This Silvertone is a real eye catcher and evidently a significant piece of radio production history. This radio is just neat to see and hear. The back speaker carpet is not installed so heat from the tubes won't build up inside the case when the radio is playing. You can see the tubes glow when in use. The tube shields have been re-plated with nickel-plating, creating this cool tiger striped look on them. This radio is loud and is highly sensitive when the external antenna is laid out. This radio is also heavy for its size making it perfect for use as a bookend. Did I mention it's loud? Its recent complete restore should make it last for another sixty years.
