Here is an interesting set. These small four-tube radios were less expensive and utilizing only four tubes, less powerful. Used mostly in urban areas which offered a dramatically strong signal, they allowed the listener to enjoy radio in bedrooms, dens and kitchens. Made by one of the early pioneers of radio, this model is quite impressive. The AM reception is good and requires a good measure of supplied antenna wire. The cabinet is in pretty good condition considering the 90 year age of the set. There is a measure of finish loss mostly on the left side. The radio is totally original with the factory installed speaker cloth and Bakelite knobs. My tech with 60 years of experience has done a fine job of repair and has updated it with a mini-jack for a direct connect to any modern device. Add Bluetooth for only $25 additional. 10-3/4"W x 7-1/2"H x 6-1/2"D. |
