In the history of antique radio makers, few had the reputation of Atwater Kent. From the 1920's until 1936 they were considered to be a top of the line radio manufacturer. The radio is a terrific model with a sophisticated six-tube super-het chassis. One of the interesting elements of the radio is the dual tuning abilities with macro- micro tuning controls. This feature was only available on the finest radios of the era. The cabinet is a fine refinish, with a dramatic hand laid inlays embellishing the front of the cabinet. Added to the fine book matched American Walnut veneers, the radio is a stand out. The speaker cloth is original, the knobs also factory installed originals. My technician has updated the radio to a like new operational quality. He has replaced the defective and aged electronic components along with the rubber parts to assure you of many years of problem free listening pleasure. The radio has also had our mini-jack installed to allow you to connect the set to any modern type of device. This will allow you to listen to an unlimited amount of content of your own choosing.
