Midwest HH-7 "The Moderne" Tombstone (1936)
(wood tube tombstone radio w/SW)

Midwest HH-7 "The Moderne" Tombstone (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This was a very difficult radio to photograph. The previous owner did a fine job replicating the highly decorative toning of the model and added the highest gloss "piano" finish to the radio I have ever seen. So, if you see reflections in my photos, it's the luster. I noted that there is a tiny amount of lacquer loss at a couple of the seams, but the all over hand rubbed finish is unique. The radio is a monster tombstone with a five band, seven-tube super-het chassis. Les has done his very expert and complete repairs. He has added a new power cord and plug for safe operation and a mini-plug for your outboard input device at no charge. The radio is a brute with tremendous power and a large speaker to deliver the sound. You might make note of the dial, which is highly stationed and very Deco in appearance. These are rare radios, and the highly hand-polished cabinet makes it a focal point of your collection. 20"H x 14-3/4"W x 9-1/2"D.
