Here is an unusual tombstone and a real beauty. The factory was known as American Radio Manufacture. The company made radios under contract for the Federated buying group known then as AMC. The factory was based in New York state and made radios with the labels of the various stores including Macy's. This is a stunning set with a brand new green tuning eye, which winks with a great sensitivity as you tune from station to station. As you can see from the dial, brightly lit, the radio is both broadcast and shortwave. My technician has done a complete repair and the radio sings with a fine level of sensitivity. He added a new power cord and plug for your safe operation. This is a seven tube receiver and a fine super-het chassis. The radio is a powerful player. 15"H x 12"W x 7-1/2"D. |
