THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Grebe Radio was one of the finest makers in America. They were well known for battery radios from the 1920's, but did stay in business into the 1930's. This is an extraordinary example of a very late offering from the last of their production. Crafted of American walnut, and reminiscent of some of the high styled industrial age "World's Fair" inspired sets, this radio has it all. The impressive size, terrific condition and high caliber chassis, make this radio one to own and listen to. I believe the speaker cloth is a replacement, with the balance of the set original. I have never seen this radio before, so this is an opinion only. The seven-tube chassis is a fantastic player, hidden behind a highly stationed gold dial. Note the opera window band select, offering three different bands. The tuning eye is bright green and winks with terrific sensitivity. My tech has given the radio a complete repair and remarked about the advance electronic engineering the went into the radio. I doubt you find a better receiver of the super-het era. 21"W x 11-3/4"H x 10"D.
