THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is a highly unusual radio. The set is an extremely ornate cabinet with a chevron of Zebrawood banding the sides. The meteoric styled cabinet apex's with a bright green tuning eye. The radio sports a huge 7 inch dial, which is highly detailed and lit with multiple dial lamps. I had bought this radio in need of it being refinished. The finish is a high gloss lacquer finish, with a mirror like look. I note that some collectors appreciate this effort, and although I am more traditional in my normal perspective, this radio was so special that I gave the set the extra effort and time. The radio has been completely repaired by my technician. The radio is a wonderful six-tube receiver playing on Broadcast and Shortwave. The radio has tone controls and a huge 8 inch Rola speaker. The radio was intended to be a deluxe radio and it clearly is. 19"W x 11-1/4"H x 7-1/2"D. |
