Here is a neat tombstone from Montgomery Ward. Made by the famed Chicago based Wells-Gardner factory, these sets were some of the very best of the era and were Ward's top of the line models. Note the highly styled dial with both station and numbers. These dials were an exclusive by Well-Gardner. This particular one is a seven tube super-het, and plays on Broadcast and Shortwave. The radio cabinet is in good condition, I believe an older refinish. The radio sports the Deco pin-wheel knobs and a original speaker cloth. The radio was an easy repair for my technician. He has replaced the defective components and those prone to failure. The result is amazing with a high degree of selectivity and plenty of punch. This radio is sure to delight. 17"H x 15-1/4"W x 11-1/2"D. |
