It is fitting that the famed Chicago maker, Zenith would fashion a great cathedral radio in a Gothic church look. This is a stunning radio, rich with elaborate carvings and an arch out of Birdseye Maple. Note the fine thumb wheel dial made out of bronze. The contrast of the maple and American walnut is stunning. The radio is a TRF, and plays the stronger stations with great clarity and tone quality. The radio has received a complete restoration from my technician and plays as good as it did 79 years ago when it left the factory. The set is an impressively sized 18"H x 15-1/2"W x 10-1/2"D. |
