Here's one of the finest radios from the early "Grand Cathedral" era you will likely find. The company origins, in France and seeded their North American operations with a factory in Brooklyn New York, The Pathe Brothers. They were always on the forefront of the evolving technology, and moved into radio with a very limited line of sets. This stunning radio is a eight-tube receiver. Note the extreme detailing to the vertical columns on both sides and classic looks. My technician terrifically restored the radio. He has replaced all of the filters and caps. The tubes are strong, and everything is working perfectly. He has added a fine reproduction power cord and plug for safe operation. I have never seen another one of these premier sets. Note the connectors on the back for pre-war television and phone. High unusual and very, very advanced for this era. 20"H x 15-1/2"W x 12-1/2"D. |
