Philco 16-B Tombstone (1934)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Philco 16-B Tombstone (1934)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is the scarcest cabinet of the famed 11-tube monster. This radio along with one other model was the highest and most powerful table radio made by Philco. As you would expect this is a five-band receiver. Collected for the outstanding sensitivity and selectivity performance, advanced collectors prize these radios. The cabinet, speaker cloth, and knobs are factory originals. The radio has been completely re-capped, and a working shadow-meter makes this a superb example. A new silk power cord and Bakelite plug were added for your safe listen pleasure. A very large set as you would expect for such a high tube count. 22"H x 16-1/2"W x 13"D.
