THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is a nice, industrial inspired design radio. The centered dial, in the classic 1930's "watch dial" form, sets the linear lines apart. The dial is really nicely lit and the black on white lettering vivid at night. The radio is a dual band set, offering both broadcast and shortwave.
The mahogany cabinet retains a very respectable original finish. The radio does play decently, with no work done on it here. I can tell looking in the back of the radio that it has seen a well-done earlier restoration. The famous company made this Los Angeles made radio, still in business today. Long known for their engineering prowess and sophisticated electronics, these are scarce radios to the collectors east of the Rockies. 14-1/2"W x 8-1/2"H x 7-1/2"D. |
