Seldom do you have such an extreme set as this one. The Sparton Company made some of the finest quality radios of the era and was fashion directed using the best designers. This was a top of the line set from this era, using eight tubes and a very sophisticated electronic circuit. This radio has seen the finest of attentions by my technician. The sound quality from the eight tubes and large cabinet is unbelievable! The center knob above the dial is a tone control, which dramatically alters the sound quality to your ear. The finish is original, and although the case is mahogany in color, I believe the inlay on the corners to be rosewood. The use of exotic embellishments were for a company's premier models. This is a super rare and cherished model. 20"H x 18"W x 13"D. |
