THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Stewart Warner has always been one of my favorite makers of radios. They were a higher end line, with very good electronics and quality built cabinets. This radio is a very good example of the quality that the company was renowned. The radio has quite a number of interesting details. The shape of the cabinet is novel, not square or boxy, but with sweeping sides and interesting angles. The veneers are matched and again, novel in application. This is a nice table radio size at 16"W x 12-1/2"H x 11"D. The size and shape of the cabinet allow for a nice sweet sound. What is hard to show is the little window above the dial, which indicates which band you are tuning. The dial also changes color, switching from one band to the next. Of course, you see the beetle like Plastic bezel that adorns the face of the radio. This is a stunning radio! |
