Sonora was a higher end line made by the giant General Radio Corp of Chicago. The company produced several lines, and Sonora was the top of the line. Note the fine matched American Walnut veneers, and huge black dial. The radio was intended to be seen and to make a statement, and I am sure you can see why. This radio has seen the complete and thorough electronic restoration, that all of my sets have, so you are assured a great playing radio. In a darkened room, the back lit black dial is really special. If you are a collector of black dial sets, this is a great one to add to your collection! 16"H x 12-1/2"W x 9-1/2"D.
