THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Here is a scarce early Philco cathedral; in fact, I see them only once every few years. This was an early cathedral made in the Philco tradition. The set is a nice compact size at 16-1/2"H x 14"W x 9"D, predating the smaller cathedrals of the mid to late 1930s. The finish is original and as you can see, very, very nice. The radio has enjoyed a complete electronic restoration, as all of my sets do, with new filters, caps and every other component tested and replaced as necessary. The finish, was with the addition of a new silk power cord and reproduction Bakelite plug. If you are that Philco collector, or just a person who appreciates a great looking and sounding radio, this set deserves your study! |
