Saga of the Vacuum Tube

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

By Gerald F. J. Tyne. This unique treasure of a book, a complete history of the development of the vacuum tube through 1930, is the result of decades of research by Mr. Tyne, who worked at Bell Labs and wrote the core of this book as a series of articles for Radio News in the mid-40s. He expanded upon these, traveling the world and befriending many of the giants who made the vacuum tube possible. Chock full of nuanced and technical info, tons of photos and drawings, and interesting tidbits available nowhere else. Paperback, 8.5 x 5.5, 494 pages. Near-mint front cover, spine has one tight crease, minor rubbing on back cover.
