THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
A well made and eye catching transistor radio, this GE chrome radio was inspired by the Space Age and Pop/Op Art movements of the late 1960s. The chrome base can be mounted on the wall as well as sit on your radio shelf while the bright orange sphere does a 360 degree swivel. Turning the upper half adjusts the volume while the lower half tunes the AM stations. It is in excellent playing condition with no pitting of the shiny and reflective chrome base, while the convex grille has no dents. The volume adjusts with no static, same goes for tuning in the stations. While these small radios are the height of design now, they were not best sellers in their day and are fairly scarce. Uses one 9V battery (not included). About 5"H x 4-1/2"W. |
