THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
The maker is just a guess and based on Riders 10-5/10-6. This is a smaller Art Deco five-tube set that's been restored inside and out. My fix-it guy says "it's a TRF set - the volume control regulates signal strength. Volume is increased for long distance reception and with lower volume it receives local stations. Most TRF set are like this; an extended antenna wire is required." The case is complete with a new paint job after a minor repair and a new plastic dial cover along with a nice looking homebrew back. Inside are new caps, cord, lamp light and on/off switch. Most of these sets share the unfortunate characteristic of a dial lamp burn on the dial face, and this one's no different. The new dial lamp has been adjusted to cure this problem. |
