THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Motorola took a simple rectangular shape and disguised it as a whimsical early 1950's table set. This is a superb original example set on a metal stand; the metal grille is flawless - normally they have dents or discoloring. There's a nice marbling swirl in the Bakelite that shows up in sunlight, the case has no cracks/chips/hairlines and just a few light scuff marks. The Tenite knobs are flawless, the dial pointer (metal and Tenite) is straight and turns smoothly. The masonite back is excellent and the cord original and in fine shape. The chassis is clean/complete and there's only garbled voices when turned on. I can have a pro fix it for $40 but it looks great on the shelf as is. Add $17.50 for postage/insurance in lower 48 states. |
