| Exotic and rare early to mid 1930s Monarch wood radio. Model number unknown but chrome grille says SUPERTONE. Perfect chrome grille insert over speaker housing with reverse silvered tuning dial with only minor silvering loss to be expected (reversed painted), and just gorgeous as has a light behind dial when set turned on. In my 40 years of collecting never seen one like it. Wood cabinet restored at one time (not perfect); has usual little marks here and there but very acceptable for display. Chassis was completely serviced about four years ago and new period correct cloth cord installed. Plays well with additional wire antenna as a TRF set. A stunning radio, seldom if ever seen. 11"W x 9"H x 6"D. |
