Knight 5646 Tombstone (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This little tombstone was originally a 32 volt battery set for farm use, but it was converted to 115V with a transformer and electronically restored before I got hold of it. It has nice deco lines, measures a mere 14-1/2"H x 11-1/4"W on the face, and is surprisingly sensitive, picking up everything up and down the band, which extends well past 1700 (what the literature describes as "extended tuning range into the police call band") meaning you will have no problem picking up the X band stations that lurk there nowadays. The original finish is a bit scruffy on top, and some of the black is coming off at the base, but the original grille cloth is near perfect and there are no problems with the veneer. The PM speaker is original as well.
