THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Offered here is a very special radio. It is the scarce Raytheon chassis version of the popular "Owl" from Zenith's Royal 500 family. Beginning around the middle of 1956, the Royal 500 was revised to this 2nd generation 500. The Raytheon chassis was only made for a short period and are highly sought after by collectors today. Runs on four standard "AA" batteries. This radio shows very well with the deep maroon cabinet and bright gold metal trim. The radio shows little wear and no damage. Inside, it is clean and all original. This radio is playing at 100% with strong reception across the dial with pleasing sound. The original leather case and shoulder strap are very clean and will continue to protect this valuable collectable. 6"H x 3-1/2"W x 1-3/4"D.
