THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Yaou Electric Co. of Japan produced televisions & radios in the 1960's under their name and under the trade name of General Radio as well. Examining the chassis revealed many top-quality parts like Hitachi transistors, a double-thick ferrite antenna, powerful speaker and three external connectors on top. It's a strong performer too, as it received our local and even some distant broadcasts with authority and plenty of loud, clear sound. The cabinet is in near-new condition and features several interesting design elements. The tangerine colored plastic case is slightly asymmetrical, narrowing a bit at the bottom. Also, there is a stippled effect to the plastic on the back cover. The real-leather fitted case is top-quality too with no damage save a bit of stitching that is coming loose on the built-in carry-strap (an easy fix should the new owner desire). 4-1/2"H x 3"W x 1-1/2"D. |
