Here's a tidy little horizontal "pocket" transistor manufactured by Toshiba under the "Trancel" moniker. It's got clean, unassuming lines and classic good looks, but the real beauty (and value) of this piece is in its condition, which is like new. It plays like it looks too, with strong, sensitive reception and amazing volume from such a small radio. The front is all metal except for the "V" cutout housing the station magnification window. The smooth silver finish on top has the words "Six TRANSISTOR" engraved and filled with red & black colors respectively. The finely perforated speaker grille is beautifully executed in a very subtle matte-finish gold tone. The ivory plastic cabinet is free of cracks/chips. Early Toshiba radios in such pristine condition are rare and highly sought after by collectors. Assuming its condition is maintained the set will increase in value over time. 4-1/2"W x 2-1/2"H x 1"D.
