There's plenty of fun in the sun left in this 1939 portable. By the 1940's, portables had become very popular. They saw hard use and are very hard to find in excellent condition. I personally have never seen a nicer prewar example. the leatherette covering shows only minor wear. There is some discoloration in the original grille cloth, but no holes or rips. the interior and chassis look like new. The wiring has been replaced with multi-colored cloth covered wire. the chassis has been serviced and the radio works well. 12-3/4"W x 10-3/4"H x 5-1/2"D. |
