THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
Here is a super radio that is in pristine condition and is super rare. The company was a Los Angeles maker in the 1930s. They maintained offices in Chicago to sell their production as deluxe sets to Sears, Montgomery Wards, Western Auto, and the leading catalogue sellers, Allied Radio and Lafayette. There were very few made with the Pacific nameplate. The radio is in tremendous condition and all original. The radio has been restored and plays very well on the AM band. It is a two-band set with shortwave. The green tuning eye is very bright and unusually sensitive. I have put this set through its paces and it is a terrific set. This beauty has eight tubes, which is an unusually high count for the size and age of this radio. The huge dial, with the ship motif, is lit by multiple dial lamps and is stunning in a darkened room. 14"W x 11"H x 9"D. |
