Coronado 740 (1937)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Coronado 740 (1937)

NEW!There actually were several Coronado model 740's, each with a different cabinet and some with only six tubes. This seven-tube set uses a chassis made by Belmont for Coronado. But what a chassis it is! It has two 6F6 output tubes in push-pull, and a 6C5 phase inverter ahead of it. With its large 8-inch diameter speaker, this set offers about 10-11 watts of output for console sound in a table model. It has lots of volume and is amazingly sensitive with just its attached long wire antenna. I was getting an amazing amount of stations in this usually barren area. The chassis has been totally recapped, out of tolerance resistors replaced, tubes tested strong, controls cleaned & lubricated. It features a beautiful large oval sidelit glass dial that really pops in a dark room. The cabinet was stripped & refinished using spray toners topped with a light coat of clear enamel for durability. New exact pattern grille cloth and original wood knobs. 21"W x 12"H x 9"D.  $249.00. (1790325)

I offer a quantity discount on my radios, so check out my other listings and drop me a line if you're interested in more than one at a time. A Bluetooth/MP3 player 3.5mm cord has been installed at no additional charge when the circuit design allows for another listening option beyond the standard AM broadcasts. You can plug in to the headphone port of your device and enjoy the music of your choice through the radio or unplug for standard AM broadcasts.
