THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This is a five-tube plus Ballast set, receiving both AM & shortwave and using an interesting combination of full-size ST tubes along with an undocumented later production change from a 6A7 to a 6K8 octal. Even more interesting is the unusual break away Plaskon cabinet that comes apart in three pieces! The front panel and wrap around top/side shell are all molded in solid ivory Plaskon while the back is molded in solid black. The cabinet is in overall nice condition with one minor heat related stress crack on the side that is still solid. Between the ballast, rectifier, and output tubes, it gets very warm inside there! The chassis has been gone through with all new filter and paper capacitors, strong tested set of tubes, controls cleaned and lubricated. New line cord. Plays well with just the long wire antenna extended. 12"W x 8-1/2"H x 8"D. |
