THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This Sears Roebuck brand of radio could be ordered right out of the Sears catalog in 1937! This six-tube set has a striking log cabin inspired cabinet design, and the famous Silvertone big, bold gold dial that really pops in a dark room with its glowing magic eye tube. It receives all the local AM stations and shortwave with a long wire antenna. Plays strong and clear across the dial. All electrolytic and paper caps have been replaced, tubes tested strong, controls were cleaned and lubricated. New polarized line cord. Chassis was detailed. The cabinet was refinished by the previous owner and looks very nice. The original Tenite dial bezel and knobs are in very nice condition (usually these bezels are badly warped and/or cracked from age). 18-1/2"W x 10"H x 8"D. |
