THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
A-K's entry level radio for 1934. Four tubes and a small cathedral style cabinet. The radio has a regenerative detector which will cause a loud howl in the speaker if the feedback control located on the rear of the chassis is improperly adjusted. Two bands (broadcast and Police band) that take a bit of finesse to tune due to the lack of AVC and the antenna being coupled to the volume control. You need both hands to tune and be ready to turn down the volume! Radio receives many stations along the AM Band with a long-wire antenna. It was serviced with new filter and paper caps. Resistors checked, new line cord, cabinet was completely refinished with proper toners. New grille cloth. Cabinet shows some minor blemishes on top (see pictures). 14-1/4"H x 12-1/4"W x 8"D. |
