Emerson 36 (1934)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Emerson 36 (1934)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Five-tube early regenerative design tombstone that was a popular choice for budget minded consumers during the Great Depression. Two bands (broadcast and Police band) that take a bit of finesse to tune due to the lack of AVC and the antenna being coupled to the volume control. You need both hands to tune and be ready to turn down the volume! Radio receives many stations along the AM Band with a long-wire antenna. It was serviced with new filter and paper caps. Resistors checked, new line cord, cabinet was completely refinished with proper toners. New grille cloth. Dial face shows a bit of wear but still 90% intact. 14-1/2"H x 10-1/4"W x 8-1/2"D.
