Silvertone 4669 (1937)
(wood tube table radio w/SW)

Silvertone 4669 (1937)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Sears Roebuck really outdid themselves with this radio, featuring a cabinet made by the famed Ingraham Company. Large eight-tube set with three bands (AM/short wave/police) and unique telephone dial tuning. Has a bright and sensitive Magic Eye Tube. Radio has been serviced with new filter and paper capacitors, resistors tested, a strong set of tested tubes, new line cord. Re-veneered and finished cabinet. Beautiful mirrored glass dial. The tele-dial mechanism turns, buttons push as they should, however the actual pre-set stops and fine tuning mechanism are not functioning due to pot metal failure (common with radios of this age). Manual tuning works just fine with the large knob in the center of the preset buttons, or you can dial it like a telephone, but there are no pre-set positions on the dial. It plays strong across the dial with a long wire antenna. 21"W x 14-1/2"H x 12"D.
