Introduced in 1935 for the 1936 model year, here is one of the most collectible of all Emerson radios. It is completely all-original except for its replacement power cord. Remarkably, its beautifully marbleized brown Bakelite cabinet--including its back Bakelite panel--retains its showroom shine and is in pristine condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. Its original grille cloth is in excellent condition with very little wear. The chassis has just been totally restored and rebuilt, cleaned and lubed. Volume control cleaned. All tubes have been tested and weak tubes replaced. This is a two-band radio with the band switch in the rear. With help from the external antenna provided, this radio is a very strong player and is picking up all my local stations loud and clear across the AM dial. Simply a tremendous example of this seldom seen set. About 9-1/2"H x 7"W x 5"D. $1,025.00. (1750133)
