Crosley 10-135 Coloradio "Dashboard" (1950)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Crosley 10-135 Coloradio "Dashboard" (1950)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Without question, no radio manufacturer accentuated the association between automotive styling and radio design more than the Crosley Radio Corporation of Ohio. Here is an excellent and near mint example of the first of its "Dashboard" marques, the model 10-135, an AM receiver housed within a painted Bakelite cabinet with a centrally positioned round chrome bezel and a stylish tuning indicator in the center. Even the tuning knobs resembled the wheels of cars! Its painted case is all-original, never having been repainted and immaculate save for just two minuscule flea bites you'd have trouble finding -- truly a rarity! The chassis has been restored with all caps and weak tubes replaced. Its cabinet, knobs, dial and dial marker have been hand polished.and detailed. Its feet, back panel, and bottom label are also original. Truly an excellent example of an iconic radio classic that picks up my local stations across the entire AM dial loud and clear. Ready to display and play! About 13"W x 7"H x 7"D.
