Nicknamed the "Flying Wedge" for obvious reasons, this five-tube set is in near mint condition. Totally restored by its previous owner, its brown (not painted) Polystyrene case is in great condition and still retains its showroom shine. It has no cracks, hairlines, or chips - just a couple very tiny minor and hardly noticeable, surface scratches. The radio is playing great, picking up all my local AM stations loud and across across the dial. Its dial, dial glass, contrasting ivory lattice grille with "flying wedge," knobs, back panel, and bottom label, are all original . This was one of roughly 24,000 made and introduced in June 1947 for the 1948 model year. A really beautiful dial lit up. Another great radio from my personal, smoke-free collection. Ready to play and display! About 11"W x 6"H x 6-1/2"D. |
