Zenith 8H034 "Eames" (1946)
Zenith 8H034 "Eames" (1946)
Designed by Charles and Ray Eames, this is first Zenith table top radio to include the FM band (actually, it includes AM plus two FM bands: the current FM, and Pre-war FM). Its gorgeously restored walnut cabinet, Bakelite knobs, clear dial glass and surrounding hardware, backlit dial, grille cloth, back panel and bottom label are all original and in mint shape. The chassis has been completely serviced recently so that this eight-tube set now picks up local stations across the AM/FM bands loud and clear. Another great radio from my personal, smoke-free collection. About 14-5/8"W x 9"H x 8-1/4"D.  $810.00. (1750070)
