THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
"The Dynatomic" model, offered from the mid-to-late 1940's until the early 1950's, was one of Stromberg-Carlson's most popular sets due to its Deco styling and superior performance. Almost all of the 1500 models came in brown Bakelite or ivory-painted Bakelite. But a few cases were manufactured in red maroon Bakelite – like this one. This dynamic model is not a maroon-painted case. It is a red maroon Bakelite with a built-in carrying handle and is in mint condition. There are no cosmetic issues other than some minor paint loss to the plastic dial cover, and the chassis has been completely serviced by the previous owner. The set plays great, picking up all my local AM station and many distant stations at night. It retains its original knobs, dial, dial cover, back panel with label. This package doesn't get much better than this. About 11-1/2"W x 8"H x 6-1/2"D. |
