Here is one of just two mid-century boomerang radios ever produced (the Philco 49-501 being the other). Its Bakelite cabinet has no cracks, chips or hairlines and retains a glossy deep walnut color that appears almost black. It retains its original grille cloth, dial and dial glass. The original dial lights up nicely. The knobs and back panel are replacements. However, included with your purchase will be the original ivory knobs that came with Truetone model D2018 which you could simply paint to match the walnut cabinet. Another great radio from my smoke-free personal collection. About 15"W x 9-1/2"H x 8"D. |
