Sparton 132 "Football" (1950)

Sparton 132 "Football" (1950)
A really nice, completely restored and all-original cranberry red Sparton radio from 1950, nicknamed the "Football" radio for obvious reasons. This is a hard to find color in this model, especially in this condition. The cases were made out of plastic, and consequently most of the survivors show a lot of wear. But this cabinet is in very nice condition, with just a one nick (see photo #3) and a few very slight rubs, but no breaks, cracks, hairlines, tube burns or major cosmetic issues. Its original grille, back and original knobs with brass inserts are in perfect condition. The radio is playing just great, picking up all my local AM stations clearly. Another great radio from my personal, smoke-free collection. About 13"W x 6"H x 6"D.  $295.00. (1750024)
