Zenith H511Y "Racetrack" (1951)
(plastic tube table radio)

Zenith H511Y "Racetrack" (1951)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This set is in rare perfect, all-original condition. Serviced by the previous owner, the Polystyrene cabinet and knobs have a glossy shine and are without cracks, chips, hairlines or dents. The Zenith name plate is silver-tone in color, and its distinctive numerals and lettering balance the "Z" logo with its white power light. Zenith's iconic and highly sought after H511 model was sold as a special Consol-tone "Tournament" radio but collectors have long referred to it as Zenith's "racetrack" model. Its design is a last gesture by Zenith to the look of an Art Deco "streamliner," while simultaneously moving toward more modern designs which quickly followed in the mid 1950's. It looks great and plays great! Comes complete with its original PhotoFact Folder. Another great radio from my personal, smoke-free collection. About 14"W x 7"H x 6"D.
