THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
This 1947 RCA named "Solitaire" has four mini tubes. The radio takes a 67.5v battery and one C-cell battery. The battery (67.5v) cost about $40 and I don't have one so it's untested. The front is dark green and yellow with a gold reverse painted dial. The speaker grille and and all sides are brass. As this is a portable it has a small handle on top. The on-off switch is under the handle. The volume control rotates. The back is made of black Plaskon being heavily blue swirled. The back slides on and off. There is one small chip on the lowest point of the front. It's really not noticeable as it has patina to match. |
