Here is a very nice pre-War Zenith in a mid-sized wood cabinet & Big Black Dial in first class condition. It is from 1941, the last year of radio production as Zenith entered into WW2 production of bomb fuses, communications equipment, and high-sensitivity frequency meters as well as other electronics for the cause. This seven-tube, three-band (SB,SWx2) radio has great fidelity. An internal loop antenna allows for sensitivity across the dial, plenty of volume, and huge bass response. For a table radio, it has a strong bass response. The push-button selectors are electric. This set has been in my collection for 5-6 years & is an older restore, but plays very well picking up all across the dial picking up all my locals & beyond. A strong player that is brightly lit surrounded by lots of brass bezel which makes it "pop." The back is factory original showing normal wear. The knobs, bezel, "Z" pointer, push buttons, speaker, etc are all original. The grille cloth is an era correct replacement. These particular Zeniths are wonderful performers & seldom come up for sale, so here you go. Ready for play/display. 15-1/2"W x 10"H x 9-1/2"D. $429.00. (1640329)
