RCA 128 (1934)
(wood tube cathedral radio w/SW)

RCA 128 (1934)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Here is a beautiful example of RCA's workmanship. It is one of those iconic RCA "big boys" from the Golden Age of Radio. Stunning in both looks & performance. The shouldered waterfall designed cabinet has withstood the test of time. Radio collector or not, this radio will draw attention in any room. It is either a cathedral looking tombstone or tombstone looking cathedral. Both describe this awesome well designed beauty. Hardly a blemish on this 90 year old "keeper." It has had a recent restoration electronically and plays with great volume and clarity with short antenna supplied. Stunning big red dial with the "two worlds" dial & small lit "band" window lit to show band. The cabinet with burled Walnut veneer on top & front panels, all five original knobs, grille cloth, dial, speaker, etc. + factory tag inside cab. It does appear to have been refinished. This powerful set has six tubes, 8-inch speaker and receives clearly across the dial as well as limited on SW (not much on those bands now days) with tone control and lighted dial. Very clean chassis with those "showy" red topped cans...nice! This radio weighs 33 pounds; 19-3/4"H x 16-3/4"W x 12"D.
