THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD! |
From my personal collection to yours! Here is a somewhat rare FADA model from their “Coloradio” 360 Series, not to be confused with the 260 series which had a smaller dial & cover with more bars, + used a similar chassis & Plaskon cases, etc. Some had chrome or gold trim, this one the gold, some plain w/no trim. This is a FADA Model 360G Art Deco Ivory Plaskon five-tuber. It's a great modernist design from the period. The difference you will notice is the shape/size of the gold (also came in chrome) grille. Notice the FADA medallion in the center of the backlit beautiful gold dial. Just a real looker! This FADA model 360 has two horizontal grille bars that look almost electric...like a sideways lightning bolt. The radio appears to be in all original condition and retains its gold/brass trim, bezel, Plaskon knobs, and Plaskon back cover. The grille cloth is an era correct replacement (new). Radio displays well and has a satiny finish. The radio cabinet shows absolutely no obvious cracks, repairs, stresses, discolorations, etc and displays extremely well. It is a recent electronic restore and plays well across the dial. 10-1/2"W x 7-1/4"H x 5-1/2"D. |
