Tele-Tone 195 (1949)
(plastic tube table radio)

Tele-Tone 195 (1949)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Beautiful, small translucent Polystyrene with a mirror finish (check the fifth photo showing sun shining thru). This plastic is quite thin and brittle making for easy tube burn to the top and, of course prone to stressing, but what a fun radio! Marbled Emerald Green and White "Poor man"s Catalin" from 1949. It appears all original including factory back & knobs. It is in as found condition--very shiny, but does have a very tight stress on front near left of dial, but is difficult to see & not distracting + one on bottom from screw hole. This originally inexpensive Tele-Tone model 195 has an R.M.A. number of 347. RMA stands for "Return Material Authorization." Several models have the same RMA number . This radio has a very nice architectural design. It does play weak sporadically, but is being sold as non-working & radio needs restoration. If you want a radio ready for the display shelf, this is it. 9"W x 6"H x 5"D.
